For the fifth installment in the Descendants film franchise, Descendants: Wicked Wonderland returns with Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker reprising their roles as Red and Chloe Charming. Disney celebrated the world premiere of Descendants: Wicked Wonderland with an enchanting, family-first event at the Academy Museum, transforming the venue into an immersive celebration inspired by the whimsical world of Wonderland. Designed to celebrate the cast and filmmakers, the evening blended cinematic spectacle with interactive storytelling to create a memorable premiere experience worthy of Disney's beloved franchise for friends, family, and creators.

Before the screening, guests walked a stunning checkered red carpet inspired by Wonderland, where lush florals and whimsical greenery transformed the arrival experience into an extension of the film's imaginative world. The carpet welcomed the stars of Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, including Kylie Cantrall (Red), Malia Baker (Chloe), Leonardo Nam (Maddox Hatter), Melanie Paxson (Fairy Godmother), Paolo Montalban (King Charming), with Rita Ora (the Queen of Hearts) and Brandy (Cinderella). New to the cast are Liamani Segura (Pink), Brendon Tremblay (Max Hatter), Alexandro Byrd (Luis Madrigal), Kiara Romero (Hazel Hook), Joel Oulette (Robbie Hood), Zavien Garrett (Felix Facilier), Ryan McEwen (Squirmy Smee), Dayton Paradis (Squeaky Smee) and Awkwafina (Chessy the Cat) and the rest of the film's talented cast, alongside filmmakers, executives, and special guests celebrating the newest chapter of the Descendants franchise.

Following the arrivals, guests gathered inside the iconic David Geffen Theatre for the exclusive world premiere screening introduced by Ayo Davis, President of Disney Kids & Family.

After the screening, the celebration continued throughout the Academy Museum where the iconic spaces were completely transformed into a whimsical Wonderland-inspired after party.

The after party immersed guests in the playful spirit of Wonderland through layered scenic design featuring oversized mushrooms, lush florals, giant teacups, 8 foot tall chess pieces, and authentic props from the film used throughout the environment.

Food and beverage became an extension of the event's storytelling, beginning with a whimsical tea party display that welcomed guests into the after party. Apple entremets and pink and red cupcakes were artfully showcased within the Wonderland-inspired installation, while kid-friendly food stations and tray-passed hors d'oeuvres were served throughout the evening, reinforcing the playful spirit of the celebration.

One of the evening's most exciting moments was the custom LED dance floor, inspired by the film's unforgettable chess game dance battle sequence. The illuminated floor quickly became the heart of the celebration as DJ Sunforrs took over the official Descendants DJ booth, spinning music from the film while members of the cast joined guests on the dance floor, singing and dancing along to the soundtrack in an unforgettable celebration.

Guests also enjoyed an exclusive glam activation led by celebrity hair artist Daniel Moon, who worked on Descendants: Wicked Wonderland. Alongside his team of artists, Moon transformed guests with colorful hair tinsel, hair gems, hair stenciling, and temporary hair tinting, allowing attendees to leave with their own Wonderland-inspired look.

As guests departed, they received curated gift bags featuring products generously provided by Cra-Z-Art and E+M, extending the magic of the evening beyond the event itself.

More than a traditional movie premiere, the Descendants: Wicked Wonderland World Premiere transformed the Academy Museum into an immersive extension of the film's imaginative universe. By combining cinematic spectacle, interactive activations, community engagement, and unforgettable entertainment, Disney created a premiere experience that celebrated the magic, creativity, and wonder of the Descendants franchise while inviting guests of all ages to step inside the world of Wicked Wonderland.
